Emily Irene VanCamp initially aspired to be a professional performer However, she was enticed following a visit to Katie at the Ladies Room film set. As she began taking acting classes, Emily VanCamp also secured guest appearances on television series in Canada. She has appeared in many programs, including Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career when he was cast as the regular Sam Dolan on the WB horror-themed mystery series Glory Days. Though the show garnered positive reviews, its low ratings caused it to be removed after only nine episodes. In spite of her May 12th, 1986 birthday her actress was offered an appearance on Everwood on its set as Amy Abbott. Her role in the film brought her 4 Teen Choice Awards nominations and a Young Artist Award.
